'Zak' aka the Medium Poodle, Sleepybrook Let Me Entertain U, bred, owned & handled by Orlaith Keenan, lived up to his name at the 'Combined Canine Club Royal Canin Pup of the Year' on Easter Monday at the Morans Red Cow Hotel, Dublin, when his performance wooed the judges from around the world, and 'entertained' them so much that they crowned him POTY 2017.....Runner-up was the Jack Russell Terrier, also home bred and owned and handled by Marianne Dunne, Krisbos Just Do It, and he did do it on the night too, charming the finals judge, Francisco Janeiro, from Portugal, as well as the other judges for the contest, Jason Hoke from America, Tim Thomas from Australia, Hitoshi Sayama from Japan, and Evelyn Hurley, the Irish representative and Vice President of the IKC. Adding extra glamour to the occasion were CCC committee members Julie Smith and Sarah Walsh, and of course Mary Davidson, representing generous sponsors, Royal Canin.
