Topping the first ‘Circuit’ event, Clonmel Ch Show, under BIS judge, Paul Scanlon, was Ross Delmar’s Smooth Fox Terrier, Ch, Swe, Nor, DK & Int Ch Residentsets Stand-In, handled by Ross and owned in partnership with breeder, Ewe Lunden, whilst Reserve BIS was the Irish Wolfhound, Gerry & Pauline Clarke’s homebred Ch Lady Rose of Shantamon. The weather was kind on a day which saw the biggest all breed championship show entry so far this year; Gain Petfoods sponsored, here represented by Sean Martin.
On to Killarney Ch Show, and another sunny day with exhibitors topping up their tans at the Cathedral Grounds; Carla Bollard O’Callaghan’s top winning Afghan Hound, Ch, GB & Int Ch Ashahni Amir, clinched the BIS award under Finnish judge Saija Juutilainen, who gave Reserve BIS to Jimmy Duggan’s Siberian Husky, Leorient Flying Solo, handled by wife, Anita. Happy Dog were sponsors here and were represented on the stand by Jackie and Andrea Stubbs, and in the photo by Company Vet, Dr Carina Mederle. Killarney Chairman Dave Lawlor, and President, Evelyn Hurley are also pictured.
The third show of the Circuit saw all exhibitors head for the Woodlands House Hotel in Adare for the Limerick Ch Show, where BIS judge elect was Kurt Nilsson from Sweden. His winner was Kate Harbinson’s Saluki, Ch Ulmarra Moet and Chandon with Actolia, handled by Junior Handler, Sarah Cushley, while his RBIS was the Lakeland Terrier, Ch Brookside Aristocrat, owned by Tina and Catherine Broaders, and handled by Catherine, also a Junior Handler. Happy Dog again sponsored on a glorious sunny day, represented here by Jackie Stubbs (left). Limerick Chairman, Anthony Kelly presents the trophy and venue owner, Mary Fitzgerald, is also pictured.
The Circuit finale was in Castleisland, the home of Tralee Ch Show and here the BIS judge was Harry O’Donoghue of the famous Blackdale Wire Fox Terrier Kennels. He gave the final circuit accolade to the Newfoundland, Chapman’s GB Ch Merrybear D’Artagnan, owned by Lyn and Terry Chapman and handled by co breeder Paddy Galvin. Reserve BIS was the Papillon, Sean Carroll and James Newman’s  Ch, GB, Cz & Ger Ch Hundebuden's Juno Pondabudens, handled by Sean. Long-time sponsor, Pet Master, was represented as ever by Mervyn Webb.
