BIS judge, Fionnuala Malone also chose the Best Baby Puppy in Show from all the Best Baby Puppy in Breeds, and her winner was Philip Behan’s 5 months old Chow Chow, homebred Mingfield Princess Aura, with Deborah Evans-Barry taking the runner-up rosette for her homebred Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, In Hobel As Time Goes By.

Ronnie Irving, judged Group 3 where his winner was the Kerry Blue, Richard Dalton, Philip O’Brien and wife, Jarka Poulova’s Ch & GB Ch Dalstar Il Divo, eventually finishing BIS 4, with Melanie Corcoran’s multi CC winning Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Ch & GB Ch Zagstaff Whats The Story at Molru, runner-up.

Carole Coode judged Group 7 where her winner was Colette & Roger Perkins’ Pointer, Sh Ch Kanix Fate of Brent, his 4th group win this year and he was RBIS at CCC Int, with Eddie Casey & Richard Stafford’s Weimaraner, NZ & GB Ch Carnmellis Hot Dikkety Dog At Gunalt, runner-up.

Topping Group 8 under Geoff Whitfield from New Zealand, was the Golden Retriever, Emma, Bette & Frank Archibald’s Abinvale Levanto, 11 months old ‘Nico’ finishing Res BIS later, while 2nd was Ralph Dunne’s Clumber Spaniel, homebred Richley Royale Bond, currently top of the GAIN Petfoods/ICP/Dog World Group 8 Leaderboard, and with several Res CCs including Crufts.

Tuula Savolainen from Finland made the decisions for Group 10 where the red rosette went to Carla Bollard O’Callaghan’s top winning Afghan Hound, Ch, GB & Int Ch Ashahni Amir, ‘Caleb’ a multi BIS and group winner over the last few years. The Borzoi, Ann Cuthbert & Stephen Minogue’s Ch & Int Ch Donskoi Asmodey, another regular winner in the group ring, was runner-up.
