Anita Foley Duggan and 'Flint' aka Ch, GB, Int & Ned Ch Bedarra Cold Paws Warm Heart, are off to Amsterdam In December, where Anita will pilot her husband, Jimmy’s, Siberian Husky, to represent Ireland in the Eukanuba World Challenge. 'Flint' topped the cream of Irish dogs at the IKC finals in the Regency Hotel under respected multi CC Scottish judge, Albert Wight.

Scottish judge Albert Wight took ring centre to judge the 16 finalists, choosing for his winner the Siberian Husky, Jimmy Duggan’s Siberian Husky Ch, GB, Int & Ned Ch Bedarra Cold Paws Warm Heart. ‘Flint’, no stranger to top honours at home, in GB and on mainland Europe, was piloted as usual by Jimmy’s wife Anita Foley Duggan and will now head for Amsterdam over the Winner weekend, as a guest of Eukanuba, to compete in the World Challenge.

Albert’s second placed dog was the Clumber Spaniel, Ralph Dunne’s Sh Ch & GB Sh Ch Richley Royale Bond. ‘Eldridge’ was top of Group 8 last year.

There were four Irish judges for the first round of the final, each judging a randomly selected group of dogs, not in any specific groups as in previous years, and sending four each through for the final. They were, from left to right, Kenny Stevenson, BIS judge from Lisburn, Co Down, Anthony Kelly, all-breeds judge from Limerick, Bernie Ladd, multiple group and BIS judge from Co Meath seated beside Albert Wight, the final judge, and Michael McCarthy, all-breeds judge from Co Cork.
