Best in Show at Bull Breeds under Tom Hehir of the Moindearg Staffs, was Jimmy Duggan’s Siberian Husky, Ch, GB & Int Ch Bedarra Cold Paws Warm Heart for Leorient, ‘Flint’ handled as usual by Anita Foley Duggan. Reserve BIS went to a delighted Myles Leonard with his Scottish Terrier, now Ch Lucia’s Dream Saddell Castle, owned in partnership with breeder B Smit-Kamerbeek. Pet Master were the main sponsors, represented on the day by Mervyn and Ann Webb and Tony Bateman.

The Brace Stakes winner under Mary Wendland was the duo of Shih Tzu’s owned by P J O’Donovan, Sheepham Golden Harrogate and Liberty From Audreys Paradis, whilst the Rottweiler duo, Gyte Morkute, and Pat and David Foley’s Rosamic Bold Account and Rosamic Maximus Strength and Honour at Zarimus, was 2nd.

Andrew Brace had been a last minute replacement, coming to the rescue in a number of breeds and also taking on Groups 1 & 2. In Group 1 his winner was David & Morag Connolly and Judith Gregory’s Border Collie, Tonkory Gold Digger At Huntly. Runner-up was Sean Prendiville’s GSD, Udessa Von Der Freiheit Westerholt, handled by Keith Fitzpatrick.

Group 2nd was awarded to Ashleigh and Terry Griffin’s Chow Chow, Kwaitang Koleman At Szechwan.

The Borzoi Club Show was held the same day as Bull Breeds, out in the sunshine with Kenny Stevenson (Bacchante) officiating. Kenny chose for his BIS Lynda and Colin Matthews and Stephen Minogue’s Ch & Int Ch Donskoi Asmodey, handled on the day by Kelly Lawless, with the bitch green star and RBIS to Madeline Donnelly’s GB Ch Donskoi Koroleva, handled by Danielle Ritchie-Smith, both bred by Don Foran. Club secretary Ann Cuthbert is also pictured.
