The Stakes classes were judged by Ross Delmar whose Puppy Stakes winner, qualifying for the Combined Canine/Royal Canin Pup of the Year Final next Easter, was the Morton,Taggart, Milicevic & Burns partnership's Hungarian Vizsla, Andronja's Stradale, handled by Sinead Taggart,
with the runner-up spot taken by Mark Cushnahan's Kerry Blue Terrier, Volzhskiy Arkos Octavian At Cushlagorm, handled by Paul Martin.

MID WEST '17 CHAMPION STAKES
Winning the Champion Stakes under Ross Delmar was Seamus Magee and Lisa Sweeney's Bullmastiff, Ch Bullmeredith Captain Rowlo Of Tarbhore,
with second place awarded to Emilio Castillo and Patrick Fortune's Shetland Sheepdog, Ch & GB Ch Edglonian Blue Fortune.

MID WEST '17 VETERAN STAKES
Heading up the Veteran Stakes was George and Georgina Corneille's Tibetan Terrier, Ch & Int Ch Falamandus New Name For Lilasong,
with Seamus and Maura Gettings' German Wire Haired Pointer, Sh Ch & Int Ch Kimmax Krystal Klear Of Beechillawn, in second place.

MID WEST '17 BRACE STAKES
Winning the Brace Stakes at Mid West under Ross Delmar where the Labrador Retrievers, Paporn's Multi Ch Blue Bayou Strong Wind of Kawarimondo, and his daughter, Maki of Kawarimondo, handled by Tracy Douglas.

Mick Drennan's Group 1 winner was Karen McDevitt's Rough Collie, Caronlea Lukin Black,
with the runner-up slot filled by the Shetland Sheepdog, Emilio Castillo and Patrick Fortune's Ch, GB, Lux & Dutch Ch Irish Legend Of Navarrem.

Heading up the Dachshunds in Group 4 under Marie Hogarty was the Standard Long, Gerry McFaul's Ch Shardaroba's Fashion Flow At Dachville, who went on to BIS 4;
runner-up was Martin McDonnell's Miniature Long, Ch Smartdac Rising Phoenix.

MID WEST '17 GROUP 5
Olive Taylor's Chow, Ch & GB ChChivas Royal Djalo At Taylorian, the eventual BIS 3 winner, was June Wall’s choice to top Group 5
and she gave second place to Bob and Caroline Browne's 11 months old American Akita, Modelvill Come Into My World, handled by son, Bobby.

MID WEST '17 GROUP 6
June Wall also judged Group 6 where her winner was Webb & Chrystal's Dalmatian, GB Ch Dalleaf Devil In Disguise At Jemblewood.
Runner-up was Eddie and Gail Patterson's 15 months old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Gondwana Dia Sa Of Muna Ya Kusini At Rocksham.
