Best in Show, judged by Jimmy Byrnes, was the English Springer Spaniel, Lesley and Keith McCourt's Sh Ch Woodspa Royal Ascot. Reserve BIS was the Toy Poodle, Alice O’Reilly’s Ch Tirkane Limited Edition.

Best Baby Puppy In Show at Limerick under Jimmy Byrnes was Janine and Patrick Dooner's 5 months old Parson Russell Terrier, Jappatin Sodslaw, with Paul Keenan and Darren Griffin's 5 months old Boxer, Seacrest Citation At Bessbox, taking the RBBPIS rosette.
LIMERICK '17 CHAMPION STAKES
Ann Long Doyle took charge of the Stakes classes, her Champion Stakes winner was Sean Carroll and James Newman's Papillon, Multi Ch Expana's Sea Dragon Conqueror, in the runner-up spot was Jalena Semjonova's Giant Schnauzer, Ch Robmarralee Back In Black.

Ann Long Doyle Puppy Stakes winner was Paddy Galvin and Gordon Cutts' 9 months old Newfoundland, Merrybear Jazz Singer, in second place was Tim, Marion and Ian Finney’s 9 months old Irish Wolfhound, Isnalera Gimme Shelter At Gulliagh.

Topping the Veteran Stakes under Ann Long Doyle was Colm and Rose Hastings' 10 year old Old English Sheepdog, Ch, Am Silver G Ch, Int & GB Ch Lambluvs Live The Dream, with second place awarded to George and Georgina Corneille's Ch & Int Ch Falamandus New Name For Lilasong, celebrating his 9th birthday on the day.
LIMERICK '17 BRACE STAKES
Heading up the Brace Stakes at Limerick was the Whippet pairing of Barbara Hurley and Robbie Van Wensveen's, Alafrique Captain Conan and Barnesmore Flashman, with Kath & Beth Holt's ESS duo GB Sh Ch Trimere Tranquiliser To Bethryn and Bethryn Devil Moon, second.

LIMERICK '17 GROUP 1
Philip Behan judged Group 1 where his winner was Emilio Castillo and Patrick Fortune's Shetland Sheepdog, Ch, Can Ch & Lux Ch Grandgables Romantica, runner-up was Catriona O'Neill Caraher's Border Collie, Sh Ch & Int Ch Huntly I Ain't No Panda.
LIMERICK '17 GROUP 2
Dr Otto Schimpf from Austria judged Group 2, sending forward the Bullmastiff, Claire & Paul Hanna and Shannon McBride's Fullhouse Bulls Icotchin Or Wot At Ardhub, with second place awarded to Jalena Semjonova's Giant Schnauzer, Ch Robmarralee Back In Black.
LIMERICK '17 GROUP 3
Topping the terriers in Group 3, under Swedish judge Nina Karlsdotter, was Harold Quigg and Mark McGonagle’s Kerry Blue Terrier, Am Ch Melbees Great Expectations For Irisblu, with the runner-up slot filled by Mandy Holmes’ Border Terrier, Ch Barnby Caramel Wafer At Bimandi.
LIMERICK '17 GROUP 4
Dr Otto Schimpf also judged Group 4 where his winner was Karen Weir's Smooth Haired Kaninchen, Ch & Neths Ch Magik Rainbow Gloria, second place went to Martin McDonnell's Miniature Long, Smartdac Storm Temptress.
LIMERICK '17 GROUP 5
Canadian judge, Joe Lobb, judged Group 5 finding his winner in the Keeshond, Maureen and Brian Carroll's Ch & Int Ch Lyntova Legend Has It, with the runner-up rosette taken by the American Akita, McLaren's Barannod Ballyshannon Boy.
LIMERICK '17 GROUP 6
Caroline Reynolds' 9 months old Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen, Tarmachan Ice Cool Glenariff, was the Group 6 winner under Joe Lobb, whose second place rosette went to Dorothy Park, Jane Hough & Sharon Kelly's Black & Tan Coonhound, Sh Ch Scentaway Sherlock Holmes, handled by Sharon.
LIMERICK '17 GROUP 7
The BIS 4 winning GSHP, Tom and Annie Mervyn’s Sh Ch & Lux Sh Ch Tomanipoint Celtic Knight, who came out on top of Group 7 under Dr Michael Woods from Canada, with second place awarded to Stewart & Heather Cummings' Pointer, Sh Ch Kanix Kroner At Sevenhills.
LIMERICK '17 GROUP 8
Lesley and Keith McCourt's English Springer Spaniel, Sh Ch Woodspa Royal Ascot, won Group 8 under Finnish judge, Leni Finne, en route to being awarded Best in Show win later in the day with in second place Emma, Bette and Frank Archibald's Golden Retriever, Sh Ch Abinvale Levanto.

Judging Group 9 was Hans Algrem from Sweden whose winner, Alice O'Reilly’s Toy Poodle, Ch Tirkane Limited Edition, went on to Reserve BIS; Sean Carroll and James Newman's Papillon, Multi Ch Expana's Sea Dragon Conqueror, was in second place.
LIMERICK '17 GROUP 10
Heading up Group 10 under Morag Connolly was Maureen Wade’s Italian Greyhound, Ch & Int Ch Turigner Wind In The Willows, runner-up was Kate Harbinson's Saluki, Ch & Int Ch Ulmarra Moet And Chandon With Actolia, handled by granddaughter Sarah Cushley.
