Taking the rosette for Best Baby Puppy in Show under Elaine Butler of the Ballysax Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers was Cathy Loughlin’s Irish Setter, Blazing Bronze Edge Of Reason Among Rohanmor, with the runner-up spot to Ivan Gargan’s Irish Wolfhound Luke Kelly Of Skerryhill.

IRISH BREEDS SOCIETY '16 PUPPY STAKES
Elaine Butler judged all the Stakes Classes and her top puppy was the Irish Red and White Setter, McDermott’s Cilleigne Cu Chulainn at Drumlace, with second to Byrne and Doyle’s Irish Terrier Kerrykeel Sheelagh, bred by Kevin Anderson.

IRISH BREEDS SOCIETY '16 JUNIOR STAKES
Topping the Junior Stakes under Elaine Butler was the Irish Terrier, Ger and Liam Delaney’s Carliams Red Alert, bred by Ger and handled by Liam. Taking runner-up here was the Irish Red and White Setter, Dolan’s Cilleigne Finn Mac Cumhaill, litter brother to the puppy stakes winner.

Winning the brace stakes was the Irish Wolfhound brother and sister pairing of Ch Ferseithean Of Skerryhill and Kerry Of Skerryhill, owned by Ivan Gargan.

John Daly judged the Kerry Blue Terriers, his BOB going to Carmel Clarke’O’Neill’s Ch Lemracdream Field Of Dreams, with the bitch green star and RBOB to Harold Quigg and Brendan McGivern’s Ch Irisblu The Fiddler.

BOB in Kerry Beagles under Susan Kealy was Mike O’Dwyer and Michael Irving’s bitch Ch Errigal Princess, their puppy Ravensring Roger O’Dwyer Ballycamas taking the DGS.

Trudy Walsh, well known for her Ardbraccan Irish and Irish Red and White Setters, judged the Irish here, and her BOB was Helen Gracie’s bitch Clonageera Walk With Me, and her dog green star was Ken Kennedy’s Glennara Chase The Ace.

Best of breed in Glen of Imaal Terriers under Susan Kealy of the Kealdale Airedales and Wheatens was the eventual RBIS winner, Ann White’s Ch, GB & Dutch Ch Abberann Phelan, with the same owner’s Abberann Reach For The Stars Ryanne, taking the bitch green star.

IRISH BREEDS SOCIETY '16 IRISH SOFT COATED WHEATEN TERRIERS
Jennifer Kealy was in charge of the Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers and her BOB was Richard Dalton and Eithne Brady’s male Ch MacFinn Victor Creed, handled by Richard, who finished BIS3 later in the day, while the bitch green star went to Bev Hanna’s Celtannia Extra Confident at Kinaelan.

Topping the Irish Terriers under Susan Kealy was Kevin Anderson’s junior dog Ben-Oskar vom Obersten Holz At Kerrykeel, imported from Germany, and who finished BIS4, with the bitch award to the Carroll family’s Ch Carolmac Rock Chick.

Brian Grace judged the Irish Red and White Setters, finding his BOB winner in his junior dog, Dolan’s Cilleigne Finn Mac Cumhaill, second earlier in Junior Stakes, with the bitch green star going to Bartholomew Kennedy’s Ch & Sh Ch Mizen Druid Dathuil.

Jim Gibson’s green star and BOB in Irish Water Spaniels was Fitzsimons’ junior bitch Gloi Donn Abracadabra, and Byrne’s puppy bitch Sabhabh of Stormy Seas took reserve BOB.
