Best Baby Puppy In Show at IKC International Day 2 under Cathy Delmar was Keith Rimmer with his 5 months old Papillon, Denemore Toy Bubble, with RBBPIS awarded to Ray O’Neill’s Pekingese, Trendylook Hedley Lamarr, following up on his win the previous day.

From the winners of the ten puppy groups, judged today by Liam Moran, Cathy Delmar’s Best Puppy in Show winner was Scarlett and Mark Burnside’s 8 months old Alaskan Malamute, Libertia I Am Legend, qualifying him for the prestigious Combined Canine/Royal Canin Pup of the Year Final next Easter, with second place going to Lynda Cuthbert and husband Colin’s Borzoi, Donskoi Oksana.

Anthony Kelly’s Junior Stakes winner was Kerry Duncan’s Medium Poodle, Sleepybrook Double Oh Seven At Redfrith, prepared and handled by breeder Orlaith Keenan, with second place awarded to Brenda and Joe Doyle’s Shetland Sheepdog, Little Barbie Girl Des Romarins De Mayerling For Sevenoaks.

Anthony Kelly’s pick for his Champion Stakes winner, qualifying for the Fosse Data/Happy Dog Champion of Champions Final in January, was the Shetland Sheepdog, Emilio Castillo and Patrick Fortune’s Ch & GB Ch Edglonian Blue Fortune, with second place taken by Ann Cuthbert and Stephen Minogue’s Borzoi, Ch & Int Ch Donskoi Asmodey.

Cathy Delmar awarded Best Veteran In Show to Carla Bollard O’Callaghan’s Afghan Hound, Ch, GB & Int Ch Ashahni Amir, 8 year old ‘Caleb’ now looking forward to collecting his crystal at the IKC Celtic Winners show next year to recognise topping the Irish Canine Press/Royal Canin Veteran Leaderboard 2016 as Veteran of the Year. In second place was the irrepressible ‘Homer’, Ann White’s well known Irish Glen of Imaal Terrier, Ch GB Am & Su Ch Abberann Conan.

Topping Group 1 under Francisco Ruiz Rodruigez was Austin and Ann Long Doyle’s Pumi, Ch Pumidoro Splinter At Longsdyle, creating breed history as this was a breed first in these islands; runner-up was David McKenna’s Bouvier Des Flandres, Ch Nikolaev Tyrion At Davdeir.

Redef Hadzic’s Group 2 winner, Rose and Colm White’s Rottweiler, Ch Estalea Trigger At Shantona, went on to BIS 4; in second place under Redef was the Tibetan Mastiff, Tim Dowey’s Drakyi Emperor Nero Of Tamdrin, 11 months old ‘Nero’ was handled by Lauren Whan.

Taking Group 3 under Paul Stanton was the BIS 3 winning Kerry Blue Terrier, Hugh and Helena Quigg and Brendan McGovern’s Ch Irisblu The Fiddler, with the runner-up slot filled by Ross Delmar and Ewa Lunden’s Smooth Fox Terrier, Ch, Swe, Nor, Dk & Int Ch Residentsets Stand-In.

Topping the Dachshunds of Group 4 under Redef Hadzic was Christine Bastable’s Miniature Smooth, Ch Chrishanes Maxwell Edison MD, whilst second spot was filled by Martin McDonnell’s Long Haired Kaninchen, Ch Smartdac Arizona Flame.

Juan Alberto Grillo Londono’s Group 5 winner was the Japanese Shiba Inu visiting from Wales, Jackie Bowler’s Jakave Golden McKeever, 4 year old ‘Kaito’ gaining his Irish title today, with in second place, Scarlett and Mark Burnside’s Alaskan Malamute, Ch, Lux & Int Ch Libertia Reggae Master.

Topping Group 6 under Tanya Ahlaman-Stockmari was Barry O’Neill’s Basset Hound, Ch, GB & Int Ch Knockogue Arthurs Legacy, today winning his 15th All Breed Ch show group this year; runner-up was Serena Parker and Graham Stevens’ Beagle, Ch, Germ & GB Ch Serenaker Devil In Disguise.

The RBIS winning Irish Setter, Sh Ch Rohanmor It's All About Alfie, was the Group 7 winner under Aida Rivera Franco, whose second place rosette went to Tom and Annie Mervyn’s German Shorthaired Pointer, Sh Ch Tomanipoint Celtic Knight.

Polish judge Viva Maria Soleckyj Szpunar’s Group 8 winner was Emma, Bette and Frank Archibald’s Golden Retriever, Sh Ch Abinvale Levanto; runner-up was Cheryl Donaldson’s American Cocker Spaniel, Silveross Van Halen Sings Cherdon.

Group 9's victor was Henry Stanley and Gordon Gault’s Pekingese, Ch Pekehuis Midnight Magic, under Juan Alberto Grillo Londono, whose runner-up was the Toy Poodle, Sally Burns, Mary Coghlan and Lesley Howard’s Ch Grayco Splash The Cash.
