Centre ring for the Stakes classes at the Combined National was Susan Kealy whose choice for the host club's POTY final next year by virtue of winning the Puppy Stakes was Jimmy Duggan’s 9 months old Siberian Husky, Leorient Invincible Spirit, handled by wife, Anita, with the runner-up spot taken by Damien McDonald’s 8 months old Shetland Sheepdog, Fearnach Making Mischief.

Topping the Champion Stakes under Susan Kealy was Kay Donnelly’s Irish Setter, Ch & Int Ch Millcroft Whispering Moon, with second place going to Colette Cole’s Shih Tzu, Ch Ziams Pretty Face For Samchi.

Heading up Group 5 under Hitoshi Sayama was Chris McLean’s 23 months old American Akita, Ch Melodor All Hell Broke Loose, with the runner-up spot taken by Sean Carroll and James Newman’s 11 months old Toybox Devils Advocate.

Horst Kliebenstein’s Group 6 winner was the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, Sarah and Gavin Robertson, Lizzie Greenslade and Cathy Neill’s Soletrader Buddy Holly, with in second place was Jean McDonald’s Griffon Fauve de Bretagne, Hibeck Dino, handled by Rebecca Ellrich.
