Sean Watson, visiting from Cyprus, was judge for Best Baby Puppy in Show where his winner’s rosette went to Ilex Whiting’s Dalmatian Cragvallie Chance On Me, over on a visit from York, with second going to Dione Fitzsimons’ Dobermann import Sant Kreal My Dream Iz Fitzkin.

Christofer Habig from Germany judged Best Puppy in Show, the accolade going to Keith and Nicola Sheehan’s seven-month-old Smooth St Bernard Parleshan Ivan, now en route to the host club’s Irish Pup of the Year final next Easter. Second was Bernard Doolan’s Staffordshire Bull Terrier Berbun Cracker Jack.

Best Veteran in Show under Petru Muntean was Pamela and Ryan Hunter’s eight-year-old Whippet Ch/GB/Int Ch Mossbawnhill It’s All About Me, with Andrea Cleary’s Rottweiler Ch/GB Ch Cuchulain The Brave, also eight years old, in second spot.
COMBINED CANINE CLUB INTERNATIONAL '15 CHAMPION STAKES
Heading the Champion Stakes under Trudy Walsh was Barry O’Neill’s Basset Hound Ch/GB/Int Ch Knockogue Arthurs Legacy, a great day for the five-yearold as he went on to win group 6, finishing up BIS3. In second place was Kopetz and Cash’s Standard Poodle Ch/Lux/Int Ch Somanic Voulez Vous.
COMBINED CANINE CLUB INTERNATIONAL '15 JUNIOR STAKES
The stakes classes were judged by Trudy Walsh, internationally known for her Ardbraccan Irish and Irish Red and White Setters. In the Junior Stakes her winner was Michele Knapp’s 14-month-old English Springer Spaniel Templecarraig Heartbreaker, with second place going to Sally and Sean Burns and Val and Mary Coghlan’s Standard Poodle, 13-month-old Dinastii The Libertine Afterglow.

Topping the brace sakes under Trudy Walsh was Jaana Aadamsoo’s Smooth Dachshund pairing of Jagervision Fashionista and Jagervision Farao, with, Peri Burnside’s Alaskan Malmutes Rizzi’s Moki for Libertia and Libertia Wot U See Is What U Get, handled by daughter Scarlett, second.
COMBINED CANINE CLUB INTERNATIONAL '15 GROUP 1
Judging group 1 was Barbara Müller from Switzerland whose winner was Alan and Sarah Matthews’ Pembroke Corgi Ch/GB Ch Craigycor Lightning Bolt, ‘Bolt’ with five CCs to his name, with second place awarded to Audrey McDonald’s Border Collie GB Sh Ch Locheil Ooh La La, ‘Lola’ on a visit from Inverness; she has eight CCs.

Petru Muntean stepped into the breach to officiate group 2, finding his winner in Andy Ferguson’s Rottweiler Lola Von Bel Mondo Kandie, handled by Donny Ivers. Second was Adele Kerrisk’s Shar-Pei, Ch/Int/Lux Ch Chuanfa Compact at Qing Iverna, six-year-old ‘Kaizer’ the group winner last year at Munster Canine.

It was the BIS-winning Kerry Blue Terrier, John Weatherhead’s GB Ch Hallsblu Fibber Magee, who came through from group 3 under Irish judge Eddie Patterson, with Sean Knight’s Airedale Terrier Ch Mynight Denman repeating his second place from Cork last year as runner-up.

John Wauben from the Netherlands judged the Dachshunds of group 4 and awarded the group to the nine-month-old Smooth Jagervision Farao, attending his first show, owned by Jaana Aadamsoo. Second was Lesley Patton’s Wire Ch Lesandnic Lil Eetee, recent winner of the NI Hound of the Year.

Taking centre stage in group 5 was Christine Watson from Cyprus who found her winner in Jimmy Duggan’s Siberian Husky Ch/GB/Int Ch Bedarra Cold Paws Warm Heart for Leorient, handled as always by wife Anita, who has guided five year old ‘Flint’ to such success over the years, including three BIS in 2014. Second went to Sean Carroll and James Newman’s Pomeranian Ch/GB/Int Ch Belliver The Ultimate Creation, now a veteran but still strutting her stuff, most recently at Crufts where she was BOB and G2.

John Wauben also judged group 6, awarding top spot to Barry O’Neill’s Basset Hound Ch/GB/Int Ch Knockogue Arthurs Legacy, en route to BIS4, with Cheryl Donaldson’s Basset Fauve de Bretagne Sh Ch Blevwil Come And Get Me Cherdon in second place.

Topping group 7 was the RBIS-winning Pointer, Colette and Roger Perkins’ Sh Ch Kanix Fate of Brent, while taking second place under Russian all-breeds judge Dr Evgeny Kuplyauskas, was Tom and Annie Mervyn’s 12-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer Tomanipoint Celtic Knight, following on from his G4 spot at Celtic Winners.

Group 8 was judged by Australian Kerry Lee and he gave top honours to Laura Huston and Heather Arrell’s 19-month-old Cocker Spaniel Hustonia Adonis, handled by Heather, repeating his group win at Carlow last September. Second was Kerry Duncan’s Welsh Springer Spaniel Redfrith Jack Of Diamonds.
COMBINED CANINE CLUB INTERNATIONAL '15 GROUP 9
Irish all-breeds judge Anthony Kelly, was centre ring for group 9 and his winner was the BIS3-winning Papillon, Sean Carroll and James Newman’s Ch/Ger/Cz Ch Hundebudenn’s Juno Pondabudens, with the runner-up place awarded to Maureen Miles’ Bichon Hylacer Just One Look at Alareen.

Daniele Poltri from Italy took charge of group 10, awarding top spot to Tony Ennis’ Italian Greyhound Bellecotts Valentina, ‘Echo’ taking her final green star to finish her Irish title. Second was Felicity Thompson’s Whippet Barnesmore Firewolf of Phinjani, handled by mum Lucinda.
