BANGOR '14 BEST IN SHOW
Toy Poodle, Ch & GB Ch Tirkane The Big Issue, bred by Ann Ingram with Kay Ryan and owned in partnership with her, Marlies Morzik, Liza Nelson and Leanne Bryant was Best In Show at Bangor’s 11th Championship Show on Saturday, 6th September under well known, successful Dobermann exhibitor and breeder, Billy Henderson, judging at this level for the first time. Reserve BIS was Petra Tomasovicova’s Irish Wolfhound bitch, Bloody Mary Tullamore Good Stuff. The show was sponsored by Royal Canin, represented on the day by Mary Davidson, Bangor had an entry of just under 1,100, and enjoyed a sunny Autumn day at the King’s Hall Complex venue at Balmoral, Belfast.

Best Baby Puppy in Show under judge Billy Henderson, was Jackson & Wright's Japanese Shiba Inu, Steinark Ima Star. RBBIS was Archibald's Golden Retriever, Sansue Out Of The Blue At Abinvale.

Topping the champion stakes under David McKenna was Karen Murphy’s Japanese Chin, Ch & Int Ch Nisyros Juschin Timberlake at Ouzlewell.

The Puppy Stakes were judged by David McKenna, his winner was Cybel and Dermot Alford’s Tibetan Terrier Araki Kaught Ulookin at Christate. Second was Olive Taylor’s Chow Chow, Chivas Royal Djalo at Taylorian.

Heading group 1 under English judge Barrie Croft was Emilio Castillo and Patrick Fortune’s Shetland Sheepdog Ch & Lux Ch Irish Legend of Navarrem. Second was Colm and Rose Hastings’ Old English Sheepdog Ch Lambluvs Sultry Secret.

German Willie Gullix was the group 2 judge and his winner was Paul Scanlon and Ashling Connolly’s Miniature Schnauzer Ch Nujax Johnny Cash. Second was Jacqui Embleton’s Bernese Mountain Dog Ch & GB Ch Bernemcourt Fascination, handled by Janette McMullan.

BANGOR '14 GROUP 3
The terrier group was judged by Morag Connolly with her winner’s rosette going to Ger and Laura Cox’s Bull Terrier Ch Megaville Plenty More. G2 was Alan Daly’s Sealyham Terrier Ch Tough Cookie of Thornberryhall, handled by Michael Western.

Judging all the Dachshunds and the group was Irish all-breeds judge, Claire Anne Ahern and topping group 4 was Gerry McFaul’s Longhaired Ch & GB Ch Dachville Special Blend. Seamus Dunne and Ann Shone’s Miniature Wire Ch Hanishan Solitaire was in second place.

Maureen Wade was judged group 5 and her winner, Jimmy Duggan’s Siberian Husky Ch, GB & Int Ch Bedarra Cold Paws Warm Heart for Leorient, handled by wife Anita. Second was Sean Carroll and James Newman’s Pomeranian Ch, GB & Int Ch Belliver The Ultimate Creation.

Andrea Stubbs judged group 6 was Lesley & Roy Blevins’ Basset Fauve de Bretagne, Blevwils Garcon, with Barry O’Neill’s Basset Hound Ch, GB & Int Ch Knockogue Arthurs Legacy in second place.

David Connolly was the judge for group 7, selecting as his winner Catherine Kelly’s Hungarian Vizsla Sh Ch Risley Simply Irresistible, handled by Laura. Runner-up was Cathy Loughlin’s Irish Setter Sh Ch Thendara Jefferson Among Rohanmor.

Daila Rocchi from Croatia judged group 8 and her winner was Emma Archibald and Jeanette Filskov’s Golden Retriever, Sh Ch, GB & Dan Sh Ch & Int Ch Abinvale Traguardo. Second was Kerry Brennan’s Cocker Spaniel, Bencleuch Brilliantino at Kerrijoy with Alec.
